The SessionSessions are fun and easy going.We capture your life in portraiture with an artful and open approach. I tend to watch and take photographs, leaning more towards natural interactions.Expression, emotion, relationships, love, and a natural feel are conveyed in my images.I will show up to our session a little early and I will want to look everywhere to find the best light. If you have young children, come ready to possibly be in the pictures. Wear something that coordinates or is just neutral and simple.By appointment only. The LocationI am a location based photographer. Sessions are held in or around your home, at a park, around your neighborhood, or in any other nearby location of your choice. This keeps each session very fresh and very inspiring. I can work with almost any location and environment. And I have some locations I can recommend. I use mostly natural and available light during our session.I have a fully equipped home studio for different options. The studio is for babies, children and small families. Outdoor sessions are ideal in the early evening hours before sunset to take advantage of the beautiful lighting available at this time. We can, though, work with almost any time of day. NewbornsI prefer to photograph newborns within the first week when they are still super sleepy. (At around 3 weeks, babies can get more baby acne as well as some colick, making the session more difficult) These sessions take around 1-3 hours. Don't forget to clean & trim mom's and dad's nails. Newborn Checklist :: lots of diapers and wipes:: extra blankets:: a binky (this is very helpful if they take one):: a bottle with breastmilk or formula (this can save a ton of time if we can justfeed them the bottle some instead of nursing) Please contact me prior to your due date to tentatively book a session. When your baby arrives, contact me to finalize a session date. Sessions are available in my home studio or your home. I have lots of props, hats, headbands, blankets and other accessories for newborns. Please feel free to bring whatever you've got also.What to Expect Once your session is booked, we'll discuss location, clothing, and the overall feel of the session. I post a small "sneak peek" of our session on our photography Facebook blog or emailed to you within 4 days of our session. Images and CDs will be ready within 3-4 weeks of our session. There will be select images in a chocolate black and white. I put a lot of time and detail into making sure your images are perfect. what to wear There are no rules regarding what to wear, but I do have a few informal suggestions for our session. Here are some guidelines which may be of some help:- Wear solids, stripes or small patterns, but try to avoid large logos, and thick bold plaid in most situatios.- Wardrobe variations are nice- Jeans and a t-shirt always work well for boys.- Bright colors are awesome, neautrals are fantastic. It's up to you!- Dresses and even tutus for little girls are always gorgeous. - All kinds of hats, scarves, belts, jewelry and accessoreies are always cute for any member of the family.- Bare feet are fun for little ones.- Birthday suits and cute blankets are a must for newborns. -Layers and textures are wonderful. - If there is more than one person, it is best to dress in a similar color scheme or general style.- When in doubt, keep it simple.-You can try to lay out everyone's clothing selections out on the bed and see if there is something that stands out too much.
